Keep the locked tiles
Two tiles are supplied and locked. Every submitted word must keep those letters there.
Every puzzle supplies two letters and locks them into exact tiles. Fill the remaining tiles to make valid words, submit each word once, and find as many as you can before time runs out.

Type or tap letters into the open tiles. Select any unlocked tile to revise it.
Press Enter. A valid new word joins your list; then change letters and find another.
A and O cannot move. FALLOW works—and so do HALLOW and WALLOW.
Words must match the puzzle length and appear in Wordaround’s word list. A word counts only once per game, even if you enter it again.
Everyone gets the same puzzle for a given date. You have four active minutes; pausing stops the timer. Letting the timer finish records a qualifying Daily completion and can advance your streak. Ending early saves the result but does not advance the streak.
Play unlimited random four-minute puzzles. Choose Easy, Medium, Hard, or Super Hard, then choose five, six, or seven letters. Practice results are stored in your local history but do not affect the Daily streak.
Longer words are worth more, and harder puzzles raise the base value of every word. The browser edition uses these base scores:
Each distinct J, K, Q, X, or Z in a word adds three bonus points. For example, a word containing both Q and Z earns six bonus points.
Use the on-screen keyboard on any device, or type with a physical keyboard. Arrow keys move between editable tiles, Backspace removes a letter, Enter submits, and Space toggles Auto Advance.
With Auto Advance on, each letter moves the selection to the next open tile. Turn it off when you want to swap the same tile repeatedly while testing related words.
When the game ends, Wordaround shows every possible answer and highlights the words you found. You can share a spoiler-free score or copy it to the clipboard.
Web history, settings, streaks, and paused games stay in this browser. The Daily leaderboard is optional: if you add a qualifying score, the public entry contains the name you choose, your score, and word count. No account is required.
